When should I start preparing for the National Psychology Exam?I always tell my supervisees to get started as soon as is possible. There is a lot of content to cover and the curriculum and reading list is extensive. To give yourself the best chance at passing, I would start well in advance and work your way through my course or the curriculum slowly. My recommendations for timeframes are: - One year if you want to take a super relaxed approach to studying (hence why I have provided one-year access to my course) - Six months if you would like to take a moderate-intense approach to your study and plan to spend a good amount of your free time learning the content. - Three months if you have no other responsibilities outside of work and can dedicate most of your free time to studying outside of work. Please know this is only a guide. Everyone learns differently and I would always encourage you to think about working with your brain, not against it. You know your capacity and the demands in your life best.

How did you create your NPE course?I read the entire reading list (yes, every textbook and article!) and then translated that into digestible training videos for you. I am also a board approved supervisor and have over 12 years of clinical experience in complex psychological assessments and therapy so was also able to utilise my professional skills and knowledge to make this course the best it could be. My NPE course was developed based on demand from provisional psychologists. For a long time before I had created my course I was known as a 'go to' supervisor for NPE preparation. I offered free support online to provisional psychologists through my well known 'exam prep Tuesday', and I also hosted group supervisions, training workshops and individual supervision sessions specifically focused on the National Psychology Exam. As this demand grew, and through feedback from the provisional psychologists I was supporting, I developed this course to provide something truly accessible and comprehensive. My NPE course was by far the biggest project I have ever worked on. It was and still is vital to me that this course is of high-quality, and remains the most comprehensive available NPE preparation program available to provisional psychologists.

Do you offer payment plans for your courses?Yes! I offer the option to pay with either AfterPay, Klarna or PayPal (Pay in 4). These services will allow you to checkout and then pay off the balance in 4 x interest free instalments over a few months. The benefit to you is that you still get access to your purchased goods immediately but have a little more time to pay it off. Do you ever make updates to your NPE course?The National Psychology Exam curriculum hasn't experience any major changes for at least five years. However, as new versions of textbooks become available some of your reading list may have minor changes. I have been vigilant about checking new updates to ensure my course remains current. My NPE course is based on all the latest versions of the recommended textbooks, and I will ensure to keep my course current and relevant for provisional psychologists. Towards the end of 2023, I added several additional resources to my NPE course at NO extra cost to course members. These included: - 51 new exam style questions and answers - 215 pages of study notes covering the entire curriculum In June 2024, I again added: - 165 pages of Flash Cards I developed covering the entire curriculum. I did this without increasing the price to my course because I am committed to making this the best course it can be. I am genuinely passionate about helping provisional psychologists succeed.

What is the difference between the 'Exam Prep Quiz' and the 'NPE Practice Questions'?The NPE Practice Quiz includes 80 questions and answers and you get the experience of sitting a 'live' exam with me (via video recording). I present the questions, show you how to time yourself, and then talk you through the answer and rationale. You can log this as roughly 4 hours of CPD. The 'NPE Practice Questions' is a document that has 51 exam-style questions with written answers and rationale. These are different questions to the ones in the quiz so you could certainly purchase both together! If you are an exam prep course member, you have access to all of the above so no need to purchase them again!

I'm planning to sit the exam soon, how long do I need to complete the course?My National Psychology Exam Preparation course has over 41 hours of content. Once you purchase it, you get access to all the content immediately, and you can watch everything at your own pace, and as many times as you like. How long it takes to work through the material is completely person-dependent and based on how you want to approach your study. While you technically could cram it all into 41 hours, you may find it beneficial to give yourself more time to really learn the content.

How long will I have access to the NPE course? Can I extend my access?You will have access for 52 weeks (one year) from purchase date. If you fail the exam or need longer to prepare, please contact me to discuss your situation. There will be a small fee to extend your access past 12 months, and that will be based on how long you need to extend it for. I have had to implement such measures to uphold the integrity of my course and my intellectual property.

Will taking your NPE course guarantee that I pass the exam?My course is incredibly comprehensive and has had outstanding feedback from provisional psychologists quite consistently. I do want to acknowledge that my course has been part of many people's success with the NPE which I am proud of. However, there are variables outside of my control that may influence whether you pass or fail the first go. I would never want to make false or misleading claims in order to sell my NPE course. I of course can not guarantee anyone's success (with or without my course) but I can assure you that I have made this course as comprehensive as it can be to maximise your chances of success.

I have recently failed the exam, how can you help?I have helped many provisional psychologists who have perviously failed the exam (once or sometimes several times). The first thing I always say to people is your ability to be a good psychologist can not be determined by how you perform in one exam. The NPE is hard but don't let this affect your worth or confidence in your skills and abilities. If you are looking for guidance from me, I recommend you email me and ensure you include the following: - A copy of your NPE results - Detail of your previous study methods and approach. Please be as thorough as possible as it is hard to provide guidance without understanding what you previously did to prepare. Did you use any other courses? Which textbooks did you read exactly? How long did you prepare for? Upon review of all of this, I will be happy to send you some recommendations via email. This is at no obligation to you!

Can I count this towards my professional development hours for my internship?Yes, at minimum you can log this as 41 hours of professional development. However, you will likely end up spending significantly more time on this as you watch and rewatch content, take notes, etc. I suggest keeping a log of all the time spent studying using my course as it can be logged as professional development. Win win!

How do i know which NPE course is best for me?Consider your current level of preparation and your preferred learning style. If you need a thorough review and additional study aids to feel fully prepared, the full NPE Prep Course is the best option. Where are your services located?I currently operate completely online (via zoom) which means you can access my services from anywhere in the world!

How do I add you as a secondary supervisor to access group supervision?It's quick and easy. Once you book into a group you will automatically be sent my 'secondary supervisor letter' via email. All you need to do is sign it and lodge it online in your AHPRA portal. It becomes valid immediately once lodged. There are no limits to how many secondary supervisors you can have!

I’m interested in your upcoming workshop but I can’t make the date, what can I do?Please contact me and I can either let you know whether a recording will be available to purchase (case by case), or add you to the waitlist for future dates. I currently have the past recordings of my workshops available for purchase in the ‘online training’ section of my website. The benefit of completing training this way is you will get to watch it at your own pace, and have access to the recording for a full year. This still counts as professional development and I can provide certificates of completion once I’ve noted you have finished reviewing the recording.
