  • 52 Weeks

About

In this four hour training I will take you through more advanced skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This has been designed to build off my training "CBT: Skills in Practice Level 1", but this is not a prerequisite. You will benefit most from this training if you have foundational knowledge and skills in CBT. Learning objectives: - Understanding 'core beliefs' in the context of CBT. You will also learn practical tools for identifying, evaluating and modifying core beliefs with your clients - How to use behavioural experiments to enhance your clients progress in therapy - A deep dive into exposure work including what it is, how we modify it across anxiety disorders, and how to implement it effectively - Build your skills in relapse prevention strategies and how to create a relapse plan with your client - Best practice for termination in CBT. Learn about the indicators for readiness as well as what best practice is. - Troubleshooting and exploring advanced strategies for when your clients are not responding to treatment This will count as 4 hours of professional development and includes downloadable slides. You will have access to the recording for one year from purchase. I am dually registered as a psychologist in Australia and Clinical & Counselling psychologist in the UK. I have over a decade of experience using CBT in clinical practice. I had the wonderful opportunity to train at the Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia with Dr Judith Beck and the late Dr Aaron T. Beck (founding father of CBT). I bring my deep knowledge and experience of CBT and translate it into a digestible training to enhance your confidence in practice.
