Autism and ADHD Diagnostic Assessment Training

Learn how to confidently diagnose Autism and ADHD in adults with over 15 hours of in-depth, self-paced training from a senior psychologist. Learn at your own pace, on the go.

Why This Training Matters

Are you seeing more clients with suspected Autism or ADHD and want to improve your diagnostic skills? This comprehensive, self-paced course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical tools to assess adults confidently. Too many adults with internalised or less stereotyped presentations go undiagnosed, and it's time for that to change. With this training, you will be provided with the skills necessary to identify and support these individuals using a neurodiversity-affirming approach.

About Amanda

I am a senior psychologist and PhD candidate at La Trobe University. My research is focusing on the identification and assessment of Autistic people with the aim to develop a new assessment tool. Outside of research and Amanda Moses Psychology, I also run a clinic that focuses on assessing Autism and ADHD in adults who have complex and highly masked presentations. I am committed to neurodiversity affirming practice and am passionate about changing the landscape of our profession to make this the new norm.

I have trained thousands of psychologists across various domains of clinical practice over the past few years. As a neurodivergent person, a parent to neurodivergent children, a senior psychologist, and a budding researcher, I believe I bring a unique and valuable perspective to this work. I hope you join me on this journey to upskill in this critical area of practice, where you’ll not only build your confidence and expertise but also make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodivergent adults. Together, we can contribute to a future where affirming, accurate diagnoses are the norm, and neurodivergent individuals receive the understanding and support they deserve.

Who Is This Training For?

Please note: Diagnostic guidelines vary by country regarding who is qualified to conduct formal assessments for accessing support and funding. In Australia, all registered and provisional psychologists can provide diagnoses if they are appropriately trained and skilled to do so. This course aims to provide that appropriate training for psychologists. Other allied health practitioners may wish to check with their professional body about the scope of their practice.

I do not restrict who engages in this course, my goal is transparency about what to expect. Whether you’re looking to deepen your diagnostic skills or simply gain a deeper understanding of Autism and ADHD and the assessment process, this training is designed to be relevant and valuable.

Who Will Benefit: This training is ideal for health professionals involved in the diagnostic process for adults, including psychiatrists, GPs, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, mental health nurses, and counsellors.
